Finishing & Conditioning

  • Heat treatment is available to strengthen and toughen castings.
  • Vibratory finishing systems remove burrs, blunt sharp edges, and improve the surface finish of cast components. Choose to burnish and harden your surfaces with steel media or deburr and smooth surfaces with stone media.
  • Shot blasting can be used to simultaneously clean and texture castings. Go from raw casting to finished component economically and efficiently.

Coatings

A casting is only finished when it’s ready to install. Diamond delivers castings coated, sealed, and assembly-ready. Improved casting quality accepts paint and plating with superior adhesion and a cleaner cosmetic finishes.

  • Paint & powder coat — Durable, attractive finishes in the color and specification your product requires. Our low-porosity surfaces resist the pinholing and bleed-through that mar paint on lesser castings.
  • Plating — Electroplated and conversion coatings to add wear resistance, corrosion protection, conductivity, or appearance.
  • Sealing — Impregnation sealing closes off any residual porosity to guarantee pressure-tight, leak-free castings for fluid- and pressure-handling applications.
  • Anodizing — Hard, corrosion-resistant anodized finishes for aluminum castings, available in clear or color for both protection and appearance.

Our team manages the full finishing process so your castings arrive ready for assembly.
